Now you are starting to walk places on your own have you thought about the best places to cross the roads near where you live?

Bad places to cross the road include;

  • Busy road
  • Just by a bend - you can't see what is coming
  • Between parked cars - you can’t see properly and the cars can't see you

Good places to cross the road include;

  • Pedestrian crossings: traffic lights and zebra crossing. It's important to still look and wait until the cars have stopped. Don't just step out and assume that cars will stop
